Vision
As a church we are committed to:
WORSHIP as a central element in our life together. We believe that worship should be a joyful and life-transforming experience. It must, therefore, be Christ-centred, led by the Holy Spirit, informed by the Word of God, and involving all those who are present. It may be varied in style and format, but will always be approached with confidence in God and the expectation that he will meet with us and bless us, challenging, comforting, encouraging, forgiving, healing and equipping according to our need.
MISSION in response to the command of Jesus and the need of the world. We are all called to be witnesses to Jesus, some are particularly gifted and called by God to share the Good News of His love, and as a church our primary task is by every means at our disposal to enable the Gospel to be proclaimed in our own community, in our nation, and throughout the world.
CARING involvement with the community in which we are placed. Following Jesus involves a genuine concern for the needs of others and a willingness to seek to meet those needs in practical ways.
SHARING with one another within the family of God. We recognise that it is a privilege to be part of God's family and that we are called to ensure that every member of the congregation feels welcome, wanted, accepted an~ loved, and that each member is encouraged and helped to discover and use the gifts that God has gven to us. Loving one another means serving one another and putting the needs of others before our own.
We encourage believers in the Lord Jesus to be baptised by immersion and to become members of the local church but we welcome all who are seeking to follow Jesus. We believe that all Christians are gifted by God and have an important part to play in the life of the church.
